Hi Cate, I put up a Jimmy Barnes clip (Too much ain't enough love), and it had about 1 sec of a very intimate moment in it. Actually it was quite sensual. It got zapped. I even put a notice up that it was a bit raunchy. But I suppose sensual is wo...

Hi Von, Raytheon have been here in Australia for yonks. I used to source the occasional thermionic valve for transmitter replacements from them, via agents. Same with RCA, a building at the back of Mitsubishi/AWA in Rydalmere - a Sydney suburb. I ...

G'day Nicholas, I'd heard that they both spoke well. Was hoping we'd see a copy of Barnaby's posted to the site, but apparently with David Allender having just moved on - no one could be found to post it. Pity. Here's hoping the anti ETS coalit...

Well, "Smokin' Gun" is a lovely title, and you are not boring at all. I think I even like you. I just missed your damn post!

Yeh! Jeff T The title got my attention as well because I thought somebody may have found (or claimed to have found ) the elusive equatorial hot spot at last !

Cate Don't you find it ironic that the countries cutting down more rainforest for fuel and profit than anyone else and converting the land to growing bio-fuel crops still expect compensation. Nice scam if you can get away with it.

Hi Andrew Why don't you swap that clip for another in that series. That way our site code of conduct will be met. I must admit that I didn't listen to the words of the music/noise at the end. Cheers

I have no intention of scaring people either but our country is being taken away from us and it would be better to realize it very soon or things will get very very bad in the next few years and a lot of people could be in a very bad way. They wan...

Why does being a parent make your heart ache so much?

This has been a tough week - the first of my 'babies' leaving Grade 12 and stepping out into the world on the brink of adulthood. Why when you always knew it was inevitable does it hit you like a wave - There's nothing more I can do, or for that matter undo ?. It's been a reflective week, I'm very proud of my beautiful, capable, clever daughter but goodness where did those years go? Why didn't I heed the warnings of so many before me, "The time will go so fast, make sure you enjoy… Continue

Bear necessities!

AN ATHEIST IN THE WOODS
An atheist was walking through the woods.

'What majestic trees!
'What powerful rivers!
'What beautiful animals!
He said to himself.

As he was walking alongside the river, he heard a rustling in the bushes behind him.

He turned to look. He saw a 7-foot grizzly bear charge towards him.

He ran as fast as he could up the path. He looked over his shoulder and saw that the bear was closing in on him.

He looked over his shoulder again and the bear was even closer.

He t… Continue

Further to Friday's post and Copenhagen

Here is the summary as read by the editor of Money Morning.
Always good to read different peoples' comments

Last Friday we wrote the following in Money Morning:

"Lord Monckton claims he's seen a copy of the Treaty that all the attendees of the Copenhagen Conference will sign. A treaty that will result in a world government and a huge cost to Western nations. And more specifically, a huge cost to Western taxpayers... The problem we have is the same problem we always have when someone claims to… Continue

Refugee Visas and confusion on victims.

Malcolm Turnbull is copping some flack on his statement that he wants to change policy on refugees illegally entering the country by reintroducing temporary protection visas. Unlike those entering by legal channels, boat people would receive a "safe haven" visa would face having to return home to their country of origin if conditions there are deemed as safe. They would be able to work, but would not have family reunion rights and would not be able to claim welfare payments.

Rudd labeled the mo… Continue

Some random thoughts for Weekend contemplation

I think part of a best friends' job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

*. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realise you're wrong.

*.. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

*. There is great need for a sarcasm font.

*. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

*. Was learning cursive really necessary?

*. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

*. Bad decisi… Continue
