Property Rights Australia

PRA is a non-profit organisation consisting of landholders and businessmen with their supporters.

Why Property Rights Australia ?

The erosion of private property rights is the single biggest issue facing the rural community. It creates uncertainty, stifles investment, job creation and threatens incomes and service delivery.

That’s why we need a single-issue organisation to provide a focused and concerted defense of our property rights. Property Rights Australia was established in response to numerous demands from landholders, business operators, community leaders and workers to do just that.

G'day Members of Property Rights Australia,

Can we ask you to come the "Saarahnlee" muster this Friday to help get Peter Spencer to come down from what will be his 26th day of the Hunger Strike?

Could we ask you to email all of Property Rights Australia members and let them know the muster is on and ask them to attend if they possibly can.

One of your members Lee McNicholl who has been working furiously to try and bring about a positive outcome out of Peters Hunger Strike is Flying from Brisbane to Canberra on Friday for the 'muster"
Here is the post Lee just written.

"There was movement at the station"

I am hopeful if we can put enough people on the top of the Mountain with Barnaby that Peter will end his Hunger Strike and come down to continue the fight.

See Here.

Senator Barnaby Joyce - I Completely Understand Your Plight Mr Spencer and Will Do Whatever I Can To Help

At the meetings that PRA had a significant role in at Rockhampton, Roma & Clermont, the call was made by both Bob Cater & Barnaby Joyce to contact Senators to vote against the ETS. I have set up this discussion on the main page to help you take this action - Attention! Agmates Action

I refer you to my post and discussion on Barnaby Joyce's group which reads as follows:

Barnaby
The release of the draft agenda and memoranda for the upcoming United Nations Copenhagen Climate Change Conference allows us, for the first time, to examine in a single document the complexity and scope of the intended outcome of the conference.
I believe that there is an arguable case that many of the proposals may contravene terms in the Australian Constitution. ' Property rights' and the sovereign right for Australians to be Governed by our own elected bodies of representatives are just two examples.
It would therefore follow that NO Australian Government has the authority to sign the Copenhagen document without first putting the necessary changes to our Constitution to a referendum and obtaining the required majority approval for those changes.
I further believe that this is an arguable case that (following expert advice )should be pursued by the opposition.

G'day PRA members - just quickly wanted to let you know -

(apologies to anyone who is also a member of the Correspondents Group or the SFFP as you will already have seen this).

There is a terrific piece in todays Australian that QLD Cattle producer dale Stiller has brought to our attention. Here.

please don't reply to this message - if you'd like to leave a comment or get updates on how the commenting is going - go to Dales discussion topic linked above and do it there.

Farmers may be bankrupted by plan

Its about a South Coast NSW dairy farmer and the ETS. - I thought some of you might like to not only read it but have your say. Its an opportunity to show that we do care about our food and fibre producers as there are a number of anti farmer comments on there.

The comments section is at the bottom. They moderate so it won't publish straight away - but they only moderate for bad language.

Great opportunity to have your our say..

some of you might even like to submit a letter to the editor re the article - you do that by emailing

What does everyone think of this!

A recent application of farm land from Perpetual Lease to Freehold title to the NSW Crown Lands Dept

Conditions of approval, the property to be devided in Zone A and Zone B, with several covenants over zone A. These include;

A) To protect all native vegetation from clearing.
B) To prohibit the removal of dead timber for sale, barter or commercial purposes.
C) Logging of native veg is prohibited.
D)Tillage or application of herbicide must not be undertaken.
E) Non native crops or exotic pastures must not be established.
F) The removal of inorganic materials(bush rock) is prohibited.

Why would you bother to pay the State Gov` for the pleasure of having covenants put on you and whats the difference between Perpetual Lease and Freehold now that we don`t have FEE- SIMPLE Freehold.....!

G'day PRA Group members,

Have got to the bottom of this. A member was trying to post to the wall of the PRA site yesterday. The post contained a heap of links which the system rejected but generated an email alert each time.

I would be timely for all members to read this picture tutorial on how the group sites work, particularly the wall.

Group Site Features - Email Alerts - Discussion Topics - Group Wall

The wall is NOT the place for chatting. Every time someone post to the wall it generates an email to each member. The place for a chat is on the discussion topics, but thats all explained in the tutorial.
