B'H The RSPCA does do some very good work in the city and I don't think we should knock them all. But unfortunately there are some in the organisation driven by overzealous nature and little understanding even of animals and the issues surrounding t…

The RSPCA is not an animal welfare organisation, as many still believe. It started out that way, but they have been infiltrated by extremists and they are now an animal rights organisation. There is a HUGE difference between welfare and rights. Chec…

Hi all, There is a misguided and growing interest in animal welfare that is reaching out and capturing innocent people trying to do what has been excepted practice for decades. In the livestock transport industry we are facing new regulations that…

Hi Colin, The problem is that they appear to have made their minds up to charge the man and have no interest in hearing his story. Obviously there is a reason for everything and in this case the man needs the opportunity to be heard. There are clea…

ATTENTION!!! It is in your best interest as horse owners to read the new discussion post RSPCA Targets Man Rescueing Horses, on the main forum. This man has been charged with 15 counts of animal cruelty for trasporting a sick horse home to provide d…

Rashida Who is this bloody RSPCA anyway? Members of the Police swear an oath to uphold the law and, under the Westminster System of Democracy are, theoretically, responsible to a Minister of the Crown, who is supposedly responsible to us, at the bal…

Just a brief update, more victims of the tradgedy have been found in a morgue in Syria. This has given the family some closure but not comfort. Other families out there looking for loved ones may find them there. We should take a message from this t…

Hi Rashida
I grew up with lots of horses on family property out of Roma in Qld. I havent had much to do with them since then. I am looking to getting back in the saddle early next year with a borrowed horse. Have been buying a few bits and peices of gear to get setup. Should have done this long ago. I love horses and livestock, have 2 ridgebacks. I am curently living in WA with my partner and we are looking to buy about a thousand acres in a year or two, we would llike to run around 120 cows and calves. Jacki

Hi Rashida
Joined your horse lovers group under false pretenses so that I could back you up on your Melbourne Cup post and do a bit of local promoting. Don't have horses and no real affinity with them either, and the Race that stops the nation for us just happens to be camels. :-) Anyway as always I enjoyed your post.
Regards Sue

Hi Rashida,

If you're heading out to Canada, go to BC ( British Columbia), I stayed in Vancouver , the prettiest city I've ever seen truly! Pacific Ocean and The Rockies all in one place and pretty cosmopolitian with Indians, Chinese and Japanese etc- good food, people and culture...will shut up now! I'm envious!

Greetings from Malaysia- we have a decent horse community here both in equestrian and throughbred racing, left by our colonial legacy.I'm interested in Stock horses that can be introduced here just like yours up there. Yes I'm heard of you and your love of horses sort of legendary! good on you!
